Thanks for all the replies. The problem was in the A/C control head, it was taking out the RPM signal somehow and also made the tach inop in the cluster. New A/C module and all is well... We got the cluster back and it is working great as well. Thanks again,		 3

1993 BMW 318is 1.8L No Start
Thanks to Wayne,Ralph,Michael,Luther,Dan,Erik and Bert. The final fix was to have the DME coded,and to restore connections (corrosion) at pin 26 (+) and pin 28(-) that prevented the coding sequence. This vehicle did not have the EWS l (ELECTRONISHE WEGFAHRSPE... Trouble codes: 1444 (no fault).		 7
