and stumble. Original technician tore down the cylinder
head and sent to a machine shop. There is no reason left by
the previous technician on why the head came off the car.

2004 Ford Explorer 4.0L Misfire
An explorer came in for a check engine light running rough.
Installed plugs and wires, but it didn't fix the problem.
Looking deeper in IATN found similar cases of misfire where
plugs and wires wasn't a fix. Broken valve springs are also

THANX TO ALL WHO REPLIED, AFTER NUMEROUS MORE TEST WE FOUND THE INJECTORS NOT FIRING, APPARENTLY SOMETHING WAS PROBABLY PUT IN THE GAS AND CAUSED ALL THE INJECTORS TO GO BAD, REPLACING ALL THE INJECTORS AND CLEANING THE FUEL SYSTEM FIXED THE PROBLEM |

Well, I am going to go ahead and call this vehicle fixed. We released it to our customer nearly two weeks ago and so far, everything is going good. As I stated before in my preliminary summary, the powertrain control module seems to have fixed the problem. ... Trouble codes: P0443 (EVAP control system canister purge valve circuit malfunction), P0455 (EVAP control system leak detected...no purge flow or large leak). |
