test drove vechle. fixed burnt points. and found damaged
primary coil connections. fixed that as well. intalled
rebilt carburator and still wont idle. any ideas are

2001 Lexus IS 300 3.0L Hesitation, MIL Lamp on
Hey guys, have here this IS300 with a hesitation on accel.
It gets p to 3500 rpms and just wont go! At frist thought
it was a easy fix seen codes p0171 & p0174 lean banks, so I
got a denso mass air meter, and same problem the car will

Respondents helped me avoid an expensive dead end by pointing out that the knock sensor code shows up in all of these things, and driveability effects are usually nil. The knock sensor lists ... THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP, MOST WHO OFFERED HELP SUGGESTED THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. TURNS OUT THAT THE MASS AIR SENSOR WAS THE PROBLEM, REPLACED AND RESET COMPUTER HAS PASSED MISSOURI EMISSION TEST AND IS RUNNING GREAT. Trouble codes: p0171 (system too lean bank 1). |
