1999 Ford Ranger 3.0L drive belt
Truck came in with squeaky belt. Put conditioner on belt
and squeak was gone, so replaced belt. Still squeaking. So
replaced idler pulley & tensionor pulley (they had movement
in the bearing). Squeak gone at idle, but as sone as you
give it throttle it squeaks... |

2004 Ford Pickup 6.0L No Start, Cuts out, Stall
Ok here we go, I really need some help here as I don't have
much experience with these engines. This engine runs great
for around 15 minutes then dies and won't re-start for
around 20 to 30 minutes.
The scanner pids are as the engine begins to die and
stalls... Trouble codes: PO2290 (Low Inj. Oil Pressure). |

Hello all and thank you for all your help. The salt water test worked great. we found that the coil pack was arcing, it had a small crack the was very hard to see. so we replaced it and all is good now.. Thank you very much. Trouble codes: P0302 (missfire on cylinder 2). |

I was leaning towards battery alternator issues because the alternator was smokin hot when the valve covers were barely even warmed. Plus this would explain the recu... Thanks for the replies. This one needed a pcm. I hooked up my labscope to both vpwr and control on the purge valve. During the road test I saw the pcm attempt to pull the control to ground but the best it could achieve was a 3 volt drop. Vpwr stayed steady at ... Trouble codes: P0443 (Purge control). |
