I just want to thank all you tech out there for taking the time to help me. This car had the old style coolant sensor. The coolant temp sensor was the problem. Not much room to get at but do able. Thanks for your help. Trouble codes: 16502 (Coolant temp Signal High), P0118 (Intermittent). |

Thanks for the 2 replies, I was unable to repair this car and the customer took the car to the dealer. The problem was, as described on the RO, wiring problem between the door harness and the body harness. |

1992 Mercedes-Benz 500SL 5.0L Poor Idle Quality, Cuts out, Misfire
The vehicle left the shop because we could not solve the problem. It went to a Mercedes only shop and they replaced the fuel distributor after testing everything we already had done. The problem has been solved for a week. |
